New Mother - Week 9 

Many women experience bloating and gas during pregnancy. Your body produces more progesterone to support your pregnancy, progesterone relaxes muscles in your body. This includes the muscles of your intestine. Slower moving intestine muscles mean that your digestion slows down. This allows gas to build up, which in turn leads to bloating, burping, and flatulence.

With all that pregnancy nausea and bloating and gas, it seems a little difficult to put on weight. In fact, many women tend to lose weight in the first trimester.
