There is no way to be a perfect mother but there are a million ways to be a good one. During this process, I got bundles of joy "Saanchi", my daughter. Saanchi is 7 now. She is a very talkative cute parrot and my co-helper at home and in life.đ
Motherhood was never easy for me. I started with initial hiccups and now itâs my daily vitamin.
My motherhood journey started the day I was pregnant. đŹđŹ Yes we ( me and my husband) started talking to our baby since the day we got to know that we are gonna have a baby. đ
After the first trimester, I started with pregnancy yoga and did all that was needed, which resulted in my vaginal delivery that too within an hour. I was working for an IT company then and during my 8th month of pregnancy, I took Maternity leave.
After a day, we shifted to home and the pampering started. Me and baby both use to get an oil massage daily followed by a hot bath and hot steam. đśâđŤď¸ Since I always liked light food ( less spice, less oil) it was an advantage, and enjoyed the food as well.
The real challenge was what to do when my baby cries? Feeding? Diaper change? Something else ?đ¤
As a solution, I made some checklists in my mind and started working on them. Along with the baby care my mood swings were on a roller coaster ride. It was not easy for me. But my family supported me a lot along with the pranayama practice.
I extended my maternity leave till my baby turned 1. I resumed my job and after a year I felt both me and my baby missing each other. Then I quit my job and opted to be with Saanchi.
After a few months, I felt like doing something to pursue my hobby and it was dance. I had learned Bharatanatyam so I thought of exploring it and started free sessions for the kids in my apartment.
It really clicked well and I got many students and slowly I started Bollywood dance classes out of my friend's force đ. My routine was Dance classes, yoga, cooking, and Saanchi. In this period I thoroughly enjoyed being with Saanchi, her first deeds, growth activities, and her school admissions and what notđ¤ˇââď¸đ¤ˇââď¸...
I was playing a super mom's role then. Me my kiddo together we gave some dance shows as well. The best part was My daughter being my dance student. đđThe same journey continued till 2020.
During the pandemics time, I felt like learning kathak. I felt it's very graceful. Luckily I got a wonderful teacher and now I am learning kathak and completed my first year of diploma in kathak. I am enjoying kathak to full-on. đ.
I feel me and Saanchi are kinda siblings, we share the same iPad for online classes, ( her schooling and my dance classes), we do share the pencils for notes and now we are even sharing the bangles and footwear đđ.
Before my kathak class, Saanchi gets my ghungroos, fills my water bottle, and cheers me for my riyaaz. She is an amazing artist and keeps drawing my portraitsđ.
We do take pictures together,( Thanks to my dear husband for being an amazing photographer đđ), watch tv together, walk together, play together, eat together, sleep together. ( of course "study together " đ).
The bonding between me and Sanchi now has become so much that we can understand each other without words. ( I knowwwww... Itâs kinda Senti).đŹđŹ
My motherhood journey has now turned out to be a friendship journey and I am chilling out with my BFF. đ
Love,
Trupti
